TOUR IN SEGWAY PT THROUGH THE STREETS OF SIENA!

A new way to discover the many wonders of the medieval Siena.

Your tour starts with a 30-minutes orientation session in the free parking on via Vittorio Veneto, next to Fortezza Medicea, 1 minute away from the old town -GPS 43°19’21.1″N 11°19’21.1″E-.

Once you feel comfortable riding the Segway PT, your journey begins to the bastions of the Fortezza Medicea -where you can enjoy a 360° view on the old city-and then to the historic center of town where you’ll be guided by a licensed professional guide and escorted by our personnel during the whole tour.

Here you will have the opportunity to visit (exterior only unless otherwise mentioned) all the main areas of Siena medieval centre while listening to your tour guide comfortably through your headpiece set.

This tour of Pisa on Segway PT will allow you to get to know a city almost completely unknown to tourists and that has much more to offer than the famous Leaning Tower.

After a short orientation on how to use a Segway PT, which will take place in via Pietrasantina parking -GPS 43°43’42.5″N 10°23’22.9″E-, you will start the tour by visiting one of the most famous squares in the world: the Field of Miracles, where you can admire the Baptistery, the Cathedral and the inevitable Leaning Tower, impressive monuments of the greatness of Pisa in the Middle Ages.

You will continue the tour on Via Santa Maria to reach the 16^th century square of the Knights where stands the Scuola Normale Superiore founded by Napoleon Bonaparte, and which has already formed three Nobel Prize winners.

Through Borgo Stretto medieval street, shopping area of Pisa for about eight centuries, you will reach the Arno River riding along its riverside first towards east to reach the Medici fortress and then, on the south banks towards west, admiring the many old noble palaces, testimony of the glorious past of Pisa.

You will stop by the charming Church della Spina, small gothic shrine of medieval art and then, on your way back to the Field of Miracles, you will ride the Segway PT through the university area where you will find the Sapienza palace, the place where studied one of the greatest Pisans: Galileo Galilei.

SEGWAY PT TOUR AMID THE STREETS OF FLORENCE, VISITING THE HISTORICAL CENTRE!

The Segway PT Guided Tour, along the streets of Florence, makes you appreciate the distinguished and cultural atmosphere permeating the town that, more than any other, gave expression to the origins of Italian Renaissance.

After we have got familiarity with our Segway PT to Garage Giglio 1-Via del Giglio 24/R -GPS 43°46’28.4″N 11°15’07.8″E-, we arrive in San Lorenzo and then to St. John’s Baptistery, with its celebrated gates in gilded bronze.

A not completely “classic” –but definitely curious– route, leads us to the Strozzi palace that, together with the Medici-Riccardi, is the most outstanding example of Florentine Renaissance’s palaces. Its elegant and sharp shapes made in degrading rustication, give an idea of solidity at the base of the buildings and of gradual lightening towards the top.

We reach via de’ Tornabuoni that marks the ancient Roman walls’ western path, and take a look at the stroll amid the shops that represent the most famous brands of Italian fashion. In piazza della Signoria we can admire palazzo Vecchio’s façade in the background and the inner court of the Galleria degli Uffizi, in which some of the Italian pictorial art’s most celebrated masterpieces are preserved.

We follow towards Santa Croce, pantheon of famous Italians, and then, backwards, our course pursues the mirage of Florence’s landmark: the famous dome by Filippo Brunelleschi, who managed to discover designing and building techniques of absolute originality for Renaissance.

We got to the Cathedral, better known by art’s connoisseurs, as Santa Maria del Fiore, with the Giotto’s bell tower; and we finally are back to the Baptistery, with the world-famous Paradise Gate on its Eastern side.

At the end of the tour you will return to the meeting point.
